Our Story

It Started With a Bag.

But It Was Never Just About the Bag.

Every journey starts with something small.

For ENSAC, it started with a simple idea:

What if a bag could carry more than just our everyday essentials?

More than a phone.

More than a wallet.

More than a laptop.

More than the things we carry from one place to another.

What if it could carry who we are, what we believe in, and the difference we want to make?

That question became the beginning of ENSAC.

From France to India

Our story began with a journey to France.

In 2018, our founder, Aashima Gupta, travelled to France as part of an exchange programme.

There was something about the way people expressed themselves through fashion that stayed with her.

The simplicity.

The confidence.

The individuality.

The idea that something as everyday as a bag could become part of someone's identity.

But while discovering the world of French fashion, another thought kept coming back:

India already had something incredibly valuable — craftsmanship.

Generations of artisans had the skills, creativity, and patience to turn simple materials into something beautiful.

So why not bring these two worlds together?

French-inspired design.

Indian craftsmanship.

And a purpose of our own.

That idea stayed.

And in 2020, ENSAC was born.

But Then We Asked Ourselves Something Bigger

We had created bags.

They looked good.

They were functional.

They were made to become part of everyday life.

But we didn't want ENSAC to stop there.

Because we started thinking about everything that exists behind a bag.

The person who makes it.

The person who carries it.

The materials that go into it.

The opportunities a business can create.

The choices a brand makes.

And suddenly, the question changed.

It wasn't:

"What kind of bags should we make?"

It became:

"What kind of impact should our bags carry?"

That is where Bag+ was born.

Bag+

The Bag Is the Beginning. The Plus Is the Purpose.

At ENSAC, Bag+ is more than a tagline.

It is the idea that every bag can carry something extra.

Something beyond the product.

Something meaningful.

The + stands for three things that matter to us:

Pride

We believe what you carry should feel like you.

Bold or subtle.

Classic or experimental.

Practical or expressive.

Your bag is part of your identity.

Carry it with pride.

Social Value

We believe a business should create opportunities, not just products.

Today, around 90% of our workforce is women.

And that means something to us.

Because behind the bags are women with their own skills, ambitions, responsibilities, families, and dreams.

We want ENSAC to be a place where those skills create opportunity.

Where work can create independence.

Where earning can create confidence.

Where one opportunity can have an impact far beyond one person.

Because when you create an opportunity for someone, you're not just creating a job. You're helping create a future.

Environment

We don't believe sustainability should simply be a word printed on a website.

It should be a journey.

And we're still on that journey.

We're continuously looking for better materials, better practices, and more responsible choices wherever we can.

We explore materials such as cotton, jute, and other thoughtfully selected materials, while creating products designed for everyday use.

We know there is always more to do.

And that's exactly why we keep looking for better ways forward.

Better choices today can lead to a better tomorrow.

The People Behind the Bags

Before You Carry an ENSAC Bag, Someone Else Carried the Craft.

A product may have a logo on it.

But behind that logo are people.

People who cut.

People who stitch.

People who inspect.

People who pack.

People who turn an idea into something you can actually carry.

At ENSAC, approximately 90% of our workforce is women.

They are not simply a number in our story.

They are a part of it.

Their hands help create the products you see.

Their work helps shape the quality we stand behind.

And their journey is part of the journey of ENSAC itself.

That's why women empowerment isn't an additional campaign for us.

It's already woven into our everyday work.

Made Here. Meant for Everywhere.

We are proud of where our story comes from.

India has an extraordinary relationship with craft.

Different regions.

Different techniques.

Different materials.

Different stories.

We want to build on that richness while creating designs that fit today's world.

  • From a handbag for a day out...
  • To a tote for everyday life...
  • To a laptop bag for work...
  • To a backpack for a new adventure...
  • To a bag for the next generation...

We make bags for real lives and real journeys.

Why "ENSAC"?

The name ENSAC is inspired by a French expression associated with "in a bag."

And perhaps that's fitting.

Because a bag can hold almost anything.

Things you need.

Things you love.

Things you can't leave home without.

But sometimes, it carries things that can't be measured.

Confidence.

Memories.

Dreams.

Ambition.

Identity.

That's what we want ENSAC to represent.

Not just what is in your bag.

But what your bag means to you.

Our Story Is Still Being Written

We don't believe a brand's story ends when the company launches.

Ours is still being written.

With every person who joins us.

Every artisan who creates with us.

Every material we choose.

Every product we design.

Every customer who carries ENSAC into their own story.

And every decision that takes us one step closer to doing things better.

We may have started with bags.

But we are building something bigger.

Something that brings together:

Design.

Craftsmanship.

People.

Purpose.

And that little + that makes all the difference.

So, What Is ENSAC?

Maybe the easiest answer is:

We're a bag brand.

But that isn't the whole story.

We're a brand inspired by the world.

Rooted in Indian craftsmanship.

Built by people.

Driven by purpose.

And constantly looking for ways to carry something more.

Because at ENSAC...

We Don't Just Make Bags.

We Make Bag+.

  • Pride.
  • Social Value.
  • Environment.

And we're just getting started.
